Teen Contests: Essay & Oratory Contests Regional, State, & National
2022 Student Contest Info
The rules for states have changed! A student does NOT have to place 1st or 2nd to participate in the State Oratory Contest. ALL students may enter the state competition by submitting a video of their talk.
SO, the Regional Oratory Contest is completely separate from the State Oratory Contest. But the winner of states does go on to the National Oratory Contest.

All regional contestants may also be a contestant for the state competition. Being a contestant for the regional competition does not automatically enroll you in the state competition. All students may enter the state competition simply by submitting a video & written copy of their speech.
State Essay & Speech Contests Click on www.paprolife.org/for-students for the PA Pro-Life Federation flyers, cover pages and rules for the state Essay and Video Speech Contests. Cash prizes will be awarded. In addition, the first-place winner of the Senior High Oratory Contest and a chaperone will receive an all-expense-paid trip to attend the National Oratory Contest at the National Right to Life/Teens for Life Convention, June 24-25, 2022, in Atlanta, Georgia!
National Right to Life Essay Contest 1st Place-$200; 2nd-$150; 3rd-$100 will be awarded in each level: Senior High (Grades 10-12) and Junior High (Grades 7-9) Essays must be mailed (not by email) after December 20, 2021 & postmarked by January 21. More National Essay Contest Info
Our teen contests are an excellent way for students to learn about the pro-life issues we face. Please encourage any student you know to enter one of our contests.
Congratulations go to Teresa Sicree from Centre County for winning 1st place at the state Oratory Contest in 2014. Teresa's 1st place prize was an all expenses paid trip to the National Right to Life Convention in Louisville KY where she represented PA at the National Oratory Contest.
Teresa is the first and only Oratory Contest winner from our region to win 1st place in the PA Pro-Life Federation State Oratory Contest!
I talked to Teresa on the phone a few days after the national competition. She was so thankful that she was able to go to the National Convention and compete in the National Oratory Contest. She was able to meet a number of national and inter-national pro-life leaders. It sounded like it was quite an experience for her.
Congratulations, to all the past winners of the Central PA Regional Oratory and Essay Contests! You all did such a wonderful job!
