March for Life
The buses will leave the Fullington Bus Depot about 7:00 a.m. and return about 11:00 p.m. We will be dropped off close to the rally and picked up at a location and time to be determined by our bus captain in the afternoon after the march has finished at the Supreme Court. The cost for adults is $25 and for students, $20. Everyone should bring money for the dinner stop. We ask for one chaperone per 10 students. If you are interested in attending, contact Frank Densevich at densevich@pennswoods.net (814-355-4658). Instructions are given at the beginning of the bus trip. We request the group to stay together in Washington as the crowd averages 150,000+. Bring your camera; it’s a great picture-taking event, especially on the hill approaching the Supreme Court. It’s then that one begins to understand the enormity of the crowd as you turn around, look down the hill, and see the mass of humanity all marching in defense of life. No pro-lifer comes away from the March feeling alone anymore. The networking is fantastic as everyone sees the breadth and depth of commitment in the movement. Over the years, the number of teens attending the March has grown and now comprises a large percentage of attendees. Attendees will want to bring a packed lunch to eat sometime during the rally before the march begins. Dress warmly with hats, gloves, and wear comfortable, warm shoes/boots as everyone is outside from about 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 or 5:00 p.m. and there is a lot of walking. Porta-potties are available at the rally.
