Upcoming Events Every Thursday of the Month - Prayer Vigil Every Thursday from 3 pm to 4 pm we have a prayer vigil in front of the Planned Parenthood office in Johnstown, on Franklin Street. Please join us in prayer to end abortion. Every Second Tuesday of the Month - Monthly Meeting Our Cambria-Somerset Citizens Concerned for Human Life/CCHL Pro-Life group holds a monthly meeting every second Tuesday of the month at Saint Michael’s Church Hall in Saint Michael, PA at 7:00 pm. Meetings are open to the public. Come and join us. September 28 to November 6, 2022 - 40 Days for Life 40 Days for Life consists of prayerful, peaceful vigil outside of abortion facilities for forty consecutive days. Our fall campaign will take place outside of Planned Parenthood at 817 Franklin Street, Johnstown. Prayerfully consider signing up for a one-hour vigil shift to pray to end abortion in our city at 40daysforlife.com/Johnstown. October 2, 2022 / Sunday - Life Chain in Cambria County Please join us as we observe Respect Life Sunday by joining hundreds of Life Chains across our nation in silent, peaceful, and prayerful witness for life. In Carrolltown our Life Chain will run along Rt 219 from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. Pick up your sign in front of St. Benedict Church. In Johnstown we will form our Life Chain along Broad Street from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. starting at the former Saint Columba Church. would be greatly appreciated for Gabriel Project. Go to www.paprolife.org to compare the candidates for Governor and U.S. Senator. January 2023 - Yellow Ribbon Campaign This is our main fund raising project for the year. The money raised assists with our pro-life education efforts, the March for Life and other expenses. Please prayerfully consider donating your time and money to this important event. January 2023 - DC March for Life As in the past, we will be organizing buses for the March for Life in Washington DC to commemorate the 49th anniversary of Roe v Wade. Please join us. More information coming soon. February 2023 - Regional Oratory Contest Check back for information on the Oratory Contest sponsored by the Central PA Citizens Concerned for Human Life. Our March 2023 - State Essay & Oratory Contests The PA Pro-Life Federation's Essay and Oratory Contests are excellent opportunities for students grade 7 through 12 to learn about pro-life issues. Encourage students that you know to enter the state and regional student contest. The PA State Oratory Contest winner will receive an all-expense paid trip to the National Right to Life Convention to compete in the National Competition, the Jane B. Thompson Oratory Contest! Our August 2023 - Pro-Life Booth at County Fair We will have our educational and display pro-life booth at the Somerset County Fair in Meyersdale. We will need volunteers to man the booth. A 5K run/1-mile walk and Basket Auction at Duman Lake County Park, Ebensburg. Proceeds will go towards the establishing of Adoption Services in the Hope Center located in Carrolltown. Registration: $30 Kids aged 10 and under are FREE. Register online before August 7th to receive a T-shirt!
