DUBOIS CHAPTER of CCHL QUARTERLY MEETING
The DuBois Chapter of Citizens Concerned for Human Life will meet Tuesday, August 22 at the Tarcson home, 318 S Main Street, DuBois at 7pm. Tom & Judy Tarcson are retiring after many years of heartfelt pro-life work and we need new people to continue the local pro-life cause. CCHL sponsors the DuBois Area Life Chain and its special speaker, diaper drives, educational activities and an annual presence and activity at Community Days. We also provide respect life yard signs and displays, bumper stickers and pamphlets. Come and be a part of this special work.
DUBOIS CHAPTER PRO-LIFE ESSAY CONTEST
Essays submitted for our 7th Annual DuBois Chapter of Citizens Concerned for Human Life Pro-Life Essay Contest, which ended on March 31, 2017, are in the process of being judged. As in previous years, all high school students in the DuBois Area were invited to enter our contest via letters to responsible officials in their school systems. This year we received entries from students in DuBois Area High School and DuBois Central Catholic High School. Winners will be presented their Certificates of Placement, monetary prizes ($200 for 1st place, $100 for 2nd place and $50 for 3rd place) and pro-life mementos during a school event or as per the winners wishes in May. Additionally, the winning essays are published in the next issue of our newsletter, LIFEWATCH.
DUBOIS COMMUNITY DAYS
Our participation in the DuBois Community Days on June 17th & 18th was a success. The weather, unlike previous years, was perfect. Many stopped at our tent to view and select various pro-life items: T-shirts, bumper stickers, pamphlets, yard signs and precious feet pins. Children had their choice of pencils, pro-life mints and silly bands. We greatly appreciated the help provided by volunteer members and hope to continue being a part of the DuBois Community Days until abortion is a sad and tragic memory. If God is willing, we will see you there again next year.
LIFE CHAIN SUNDAY
This year's LIFE CHAIN SUNDAY will be held on October 1st along DuBois Avenue and Liberty Blvd as per previous years. The speaker for 2017 will be announced later this year so please keep returning to our website for more information.
