As a non-profit organization, every dollar, piece of computer equipment and office supply affords us more success and broadens our outreach. Right to Life of Mahoning County has collaborated with Canfield K of C Council #11369, to put up a Pro-Life billboard. It is located behind St. Luke's Church, and is visible on both sides of 680 traveling both North and South. It will be up indefinitely! Our SINCERE thanks to the K of C for making this all possible. Right To Life of Mahoning County is a nonpartisan, grass-roots, public service organization dedicated to protecting and fostering the most basic value of our society, Life itself, through education and legislation and political action. We have undertaken projects to educate the citizens of Mahoning County about the personhood of children in the womb, the truth about what abortion is and what it does to mothers and their preborn children, the importance of teaching teens to live a chaste life and avoid unwanted pregnancy; and the availability of viable, life-affirming alternatives to abortion, such as adoption and assisted parenting. We also need your time and talents as we fight for the right to life through various projects. You do not have to go to meetings to be a volunteer or a member. Our Carnation Sales on Mother's Day and Father's Day give us a big boost in our treasury. We need church liaisons for our Mothers and Fathers Day Carnation Sales at our local churches. Please consider asking your pastor for permission to sell carnations at your church if they haven't in the past. We need people to deliver carnations to all the participating churches and we need people to sell them after their church services. Please call 330-799-6160 for more information. We provide educational material where ever we can set up our pro-life booth - at the Canfield Fair, the Men's Rally In The Valley, Health Fairs, and any events we are invited to. In an effort to educate the public we mail out a newsletter and provide this website. Also, we have an essay contest in conjunction with the State contest. State contest winners may compete in the National Right to Life contest. We participate in national events: Day Of Remembrance, Life Chain and March for Life. And hold a local March for Life for those who cannot go to DC. We provide counseling and speak at various events. For our essay contest we need people to promote it and people to be judges.
